Shinobu Watanabe-Galloway, PhD, holds the Tim Hawks Chair in Cancer Prevention and Population Science. She is a professor in the Department of Epidemiology of the UNMC College of Public Health. She also serves as associate director of community outreach and engagement for the Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center, where she is a full member.

At UNMC, Dr. Watanabe-Galloway also is director of research for the Behavioral Health Education Center of Nebraska. Previously, she served as vice chair of the Department of Epidemiology and director of its graduate program committee.

She holds a courtesy appointment in the UNMC Department of Psychiatry.
