The Health Professions Tracking service, located within the UNMC College of Public Health, manages, collects and disseminates descriptive data on licensed health professionals in Nebraska. Since 1995, we have meticulously collected, analyzed and maintained comprehensive data on licensed health professionals across the state, creating an unparalleled historical record of Nebraska's health care workforce evolution.
Through our commitment to data accuracy, transparency and accessibility, we empower health care professionals, organizations and policymakers to make informed decisions that enhance health care delivery, ensure workforce sustainability and diversity, inform the development of impactful health policies, and ultimately improve patient outcomes.

Explore Nebraska's Health Care Workforce Data
Our resources include detailed provider surveys, shortage area designations, workforce distribution analyses and educational pipeline tracking. These evidence-based tools help inform policy decisions and health care planning across Nebraska's communities.
Professionals and facilities meeting criteria are surveyed annually, at a minimum, and provided the opportunity to confirm and update their information. Additionally, meticulous comparisons and updates are performed routinely against licensure data and other sources to achieve a comprehensive data set of health professionals in the state.
