Help your patients thrive and increase your career options by earning a DDS/MPH dual degree from UNMC.

Why study Dental Surgery and Public Health?

In partnership with the UNMC College of Dentistry students have the opportunity to earn a Doctor of Dental Surgery and Master of Public Health dual degree.

This offering addresses the need for future clinician-scientists in the oral health arena to possess knowledge of populations and public health. In community settings, particularly small towns and urban neighborhoods, it is essential for health practitioners to understand community residents' public health needs. These may include racial, ethnic, economic, and social disparities in the population, understanding social networks and local environmental conditions.

Students in the DDS/MPH program will gain advanced skills, preparing them to better respond to future needs.
