Ms. Sanger is the co-founder and Co-Director of the Association of Healthcare Emergency Preparedness Professionals. AHEPP is an international organization dedicated to the professional development and support of healthcare emergency managers. She is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Association, including partner engagement with organizations such as the Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response, the Center for Medicare/Medicaid Services, Joint Commission, and others. She oversees member and vendor relations, marketing and web design, and the coordination of all AHEPP programming. Kristi was instrumental in the development of the first ever “Professional Standards of Healthcare Emergency Management”, and the development of the Healthcare Emergency Management Certification. 

In her role within the Center for Preparedness and Response Solutions, she provides expertise in facilitation, training & exercise plan development, disaster preparedness continuing education, conference coordination, and coalition building for healthcare and public health emergency managers. She has worked with public health departments, large healthcare systems, critical access hospitals, long-term care facilities, the Veterans Administration, and many other types healthcare facilities. She has extensive experience working with a broad range of emergency response professionals.

Ms. Sanger is trained in Healthcare Business Continuity through DRI International and certified as a Certified Healthcare Provider Continuity Professional.
