Jihyun Ma joined UNMC in 2018 and is a statistician in the UNMC College of Public Health Department of Biostatistics.

He previously served as a data manager for the Social and Behavioral Sciences Research Consortium at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and as a health surveillance specialist in the Nebraska Department of Health & Human Services.

Professional Interests

Jihyun Ma is interested in electronic health records, survey design and analysis, big data mining and analysis, large national health data, network analysis, high-dimensional data, and epidemiological research in diseases and health behaviors.

His specialties are in advance use of Research Electronic Data Capture (REDCap), probabilistic data linkage, GIS applications, and advance use of SAS, R and Python for data manipulation, graphics and analysis.
