You do not need to make a Title IX report to receive support.
Advocacy support meeting are available in person, by Zoom, or by phone. You may schedule an advocacy support meeting directly with our confidential Title IX Advocate, Kelly Blecha.
Confidential Advocacy Support
Advocacy focuses on individual needs. Individuals will not be pressured to discuss anything they are not comfortable with. Individuals control what information is shared, the actions to be taken, and the desired outcomes.
An advocate can help you with:
- Navigating the Title IX processes, rights, and reporting options.
- Supportive measures such as safety planning and academic adjustment.
- Connections to counseling, medical, and campus resources.
- Connections to resources for childcare, food, shelter, and clothing.
Safety Planning
A safety plan is a personalized, practical plan to improve your safety before, during, or dangerous situation. The plan provides information specific to your circumstances to help you prepare for and respond to different situations.
Safety plans may include:
- Adjusting daily routines
- Changing locks and installing security systems
- Ensuring children and pets are safe
- Identifying safe alternate locations
