Luz Colon-Rodriguez, LIMHP, is the Director of BHECN Central. She is the owner of LUMI Mental Wellness and Consulting LLC and is also a certified trainer in Families Thrive, QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) suicide prevention, Hope Champion, and Community Green Dot, a bystander intervention program aimed at reducing power-based personal violence. Originally from Puerto Rico and raised in the Boston area, Luz earned her B.A. in History and Latin American & Caribbean Studies from the College of the Holy Cross, an M.A. in International Studies from the University of Connecticut, and a second M.A. in Clinical Counseling from Northwestern University. Luz resides in Kearney, Nebraska, with her husband and their two children.
