Mock Study Section

Provide critical feedback for grant applications. Educate CHVR members regarding study section process to inform why and how grantsmanship is key to success.

Leaders

Leaders will be appointed based on volunteers identified during the annual CHVR membership survey.

Format

Applicant submits draft of grant application 3 weeks in advance. Mock study section meets to discuss the application and applicant attends discussion to receive feedback. Grant applicant can watch the live study section to hear discussion of the proposal.

Participants

CHVR members can submit to have their grants reviewed and receive valuable feedback in advance of external submission. Senior CHVR members and past CHVR-funding recipients will serve as study section members.
