Engage in Exercise

A unique approach to whole-person wellness

Exercise is a powerful tool in maintaining and improving health. It has the potential to treat dozens of diseases, such as diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, obesity and more.

Our Engage in Exercise program includes:

• One-month trial participation at Engage Wellness ($25+tax for individual, $40+tax for a couple)
• Functional Fitness & Balance Assessments
• Individualized fitness program designed by a degreed exercise science professional
• One-on-one orientation to patient’s fitness program
• Unlimited participation in group movement classes (Strength, Stretching, Yoga, Let’s Move, and more) – Offered in person and virtually via Facebook
• Communication back to the referring health care provider regarding patient’s participation and progress

Refer your adult patients to UNMC’s Engage Wellness Engage in Exercise program

Assess your patient’s exercise habits and encourage them to be physically active. Refer appropriate patients to the Engage Wellness Engage in Exercise program (for adults 19+).

Referral options:

• Complete the Prescription & Referral Form online
• Submit your referral via OneChart (under Order Entry search “Engage”)
• Fill out the printable version and fax it back to 402-552-7209

Engage Wellness staff will contact your patient to schedule an appointment with us when we receive your referral. You will receive communications regarding your patient’s participation and progress at the end of the one-month trial, and again at the 3 to 6-month benchmark if the patient joins Engage Wellness.
