The Nebraska Lifespan Respite Subsidy Program is one of the statewide Respite programs that offers information, education and support to unpaid family caregivers caring for a loved one with a disability, health condition, and/or limitations due to aging.

This program provides up to $125 per month and, with exceptional circumstances, an additional $2,000 per year may be directed toward the cost of respite care.

Community Based Organizations

Community-based organizations are organizations that provide recreational activities like swim lessons, horseback riding and summer camps with funding from the Nebraska Lifespan Respite Subsidy.

  • For a complete list of community-based organizations in your area, call 1-866-RESPITE (1-866-737-7423).

Become a Respite Provider

Individual respite providers can assist family caregivers who are caring for someone with complex health needs across the lifespan.

Individual respite providers allow caregivers a break from their responsibilities. Anyone can become a provider.
