Carol Gilbert, PhD, is an assistant professor in the Department of Health Promotion of the UNMC College of Public Health, where she also serves as a senior health data analyst for  CityMatCH. 

She previously had a faculty appointment in the Division of Child Health Policy of the  Department of Pediatrics in the UNMC College of Medicine.

Research interests
Improve the way communities use local data, research findings, and other information for planning and decision-making, including work on the impact of data quality limitations on estimates of preventable mortality, and finding ways to help communities connect their epidemiologic surveillance findings to needed activities or policy changes.
