La’Tresha Rideout is passionate about promoting health equity, minimizing maternal/ infant/ & fetal mortality rates among African American women and reducing health disparities within the African American community. She is dedicated to educating the community on health equity, improving health outcomes, and minimizing the stigmas on mental health by leveraging community resources to underserved and minority populations. I currently serve on the Diversity Equity & Inclusion’s Subcommittee-Equity of Care Task Force which is responsible for overseeing the intersection of at-risk populations and leveraging community resources. She previously served as the chair for the Power of Prevention Covid committee whose focus was on increasing Covid-19 vaccination rates and Covid-19 testing in North Omaha, addressing health disparities that impact the African American community, and intentional relationship building with community partners that have similar interests
She is also interested in substance abuse recovery, mental health awareness, and reducing the recidivism rates among African American males in the prison system. She believes that by adopting a holistic approach and with intentionality, we can address these concerns that have a major negative impact within the African American community.
