Suzanne Nuss, MBA, PhD, RN, CENP serves as Assistant Professor and Assistant Dean of the UNMC College of Nursing – Omaha Division. She also serves as the Clinical Workforce Development Officer for Nebraska Medicine. Dr. Nuss has over 40 years of nursing experience including 25 years in pediatric oncology and 17 years in nursing administration.
Dr. Nuss is a graduate of the University of Nebraska Medical Center (ADN and PhD), Syracuse University (BSN), Seton Hall University (MSN), and University of Colorado (MBA) and is deeply involved in the tripartite mission of an academic medical center which includes clinical care, education, and research. She serves as Assistant Vice-Chancellor Workforce Development for the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC). In this role, she partners with all UNMC colleges to encourage young people to consider healthcare educational programs.
As a member of the UNMC Institutional Review Board (IRB), Dr. Nuss has reviewed hundreds of IRB applications. From a leadership perspective, she is Chair of the sIRB and Vice-Chair of the Rapid Response IRB.
Originally from New Jersey, she and her husband have enjoyed calling Omaha home for 29 years. They enjoy traveling, watching just about any type sporting event and have taken up golfing in the past few years.
