Participating Schools
Overview: Students accepted into the High School Early Admission (HSEA) Program receive provisional admission to the UNMC College of Nursing BSN program, provided they continue to meet BSN admission and progression requirements. Students will be offered a seat in the program once all criteria are met.
Students are expected to enroll at the CON Norfolk campus after completing prerequisite coursework. If circumstances prevent immediate enrollment, their early admission status may be deferred for up to one year from their intended start date.
Students accepted through the HSEA Program are eligible to apply for all available UNMC College of Nursing scholarships, including those specific to the Norfolk campus.
Eligibility:
- High school student enrolled the Pathway 2 Tomorrow Nursing Pathway Career Academy
- Must meet with a nursing advisor/coordinator each fall and spring semester
- Must complete all pre-requisite course requirements at Wayne State College and/or Northeast Community College
- Must have CNA certification prior to admission at UNMC
P2T Career Academy Pre-Requisite Courses Accepted by UNMC CON BSN Program: The following college level courses listed below will be approved for transfer as pre-requisite nursing courses at the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Nursing. The student must have a minimum grade of “C” or better in the course to be eligible for transfer of credit.

- Life Span: Human Growth and Development (PSYC 2150)
