The Water, Climate and Health Program pioneers interdisciplinary research, education, and collaborative solutions to public health challenges associated with water and climate in Nebraska and around the world.


Our team brings a diverse array of specialized expertise to address environmental health challenges.

This initiative is a joint effort between the College of Public Health at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, the Daugherty Water for Food Global Institute at the University of Nebraska, and the Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln.

Research

We conduct and disseminate research on public health issues related to drinking water quality and climate change.

Education

We train the next generation of problem solvers to research and address topics focused on health issues associated with drinking water quality and climate change.

We work with stakeholders and communities on public health topics related to drinking water quality and climate change.

Policy

We provide scientific expertise for the development of policy to improve the health of our citizens.

Claire M. Hubbard Water, Climate and Health Fellowship

The Daugherty Water for Food Global Institute supports the Claire M. Hubbard Water, Climate and Health Fellowship. This mechanism provides student support funding for projects that address topics at the nexus of water and health. Applicants must be faculty members.
