Nebraska Tracking
The Water, Climate and Health Program has partnered with the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to establish the Nebraska Environmental Public Health Tracking Program, or Nebraska Tracking.
Nebraska Tracking is among 32 U.S. programs that receive funding from the National Environmental Public Health Tracking Program at the CDC to create and maintain a surveillance system of environmental public health topics with the goal of improving public health by providing publicly available environmental public health data.
As the program grows, Nebraska Tracking will include data and resources on a variety of environmental public health topics such as:
- Contaminants in the environment
- Climate
- Health conditions and diseases
- Community design
- Behaviors
- Population characteristics
This program is led by UNMC’s Dr. Jesse Bell, Dr. Kristina Kintziger, and DHHS’ Derry Stover.
