Professional Summary

Emily Loethen, MS is a pre-doctoral intern in the Behavioral Pediatrics and Integrated Primary Care Program in the department of Psychology at the UNMC Munroe-Meyer Institute. She is currently completing her Ph.D. in School Psychology from Oklahoma State University. Emily’s interest in School Psychology began when she worked as a reading interventionist in an MTSS district. Throughout her doctoral coursework, she conducted research studies on the effectiveness and efficiency of tier 2 reading interventions, as well as research on academic interventions for spelling, mathematics, and writing. Other research interests and experience include teleassessment practices and replication of intervention research. Emily has presented several talks and presentations at both national and local conferences. In addition to research involvement, Emily has substantial experience providing academic and behavioral interventions within school contexts, working as an RBT providing individual ABA therapy to children with autism, and conducting a wide range of psychological assessments.
