Professional Summary

Nichole Santangelo, MS, CF-SLP, is a Clinical Fellow in the Department of Speech-Language Pathology at the UNMC Munroe-Meyer Institute (MMI) and a trainee in the Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disorders (LEND) program. Nichole is a part of the Interdisciplinary Autism Diagnostic Clinic at MMI, implements individual parent training programs for young children with autism spectrum disorders, participates in preschool groups in the RiteCare Clinic, provides consultative speech therapy services for children with autism and pediatric feeding disorders, and participates in research and qualitative data analysis. Nichole is an English-Spanish bilingual and offers services in both English and Spanish.

Nichole joined the team in 2023 after earning her Master of Science degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences from Portland State University, where she also received training in their Bilingual Concentration and Medical Concentration. Nichole completed her undergraduate training at The University of Akron receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology, a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish, a Certificate of Advanced Spanish for the Health Professions and First Responders, and a Certificate in Manual Communication.
