Jessie Buche, MPH, MA
Jessie Buche completed her undergraduate education in business at George Washington University and a dual master’s degree in public health and education policy at the University of Michigan.
During her career, Jessie has explored the ways in which federal, state, and local policies impact behavioral health and public health service delivery, especially in vulnerable communities.
Jessie joins the BHECN team after serving as the managing director of the Behavioral Health Workforce Research Center at the University of Michigan School of Public Health. In this role, Jessie served as the lead investigator of nearly 100 behavioral health workforce research projects over seven years, covering topics such as workforce enumeration, maldistribution, recruitment, and retention; telebehavioral health policy and provider satisfaction; utilization of medication-assisted treatment; and scopes of practice and licensure barriers.
