Specialized Programs

Maverick Technology Ventures Alliance: Student-Led Business Strategy Analysis

This student-led program provides business strategy analysis reports based on university intellectual property.

  • Collaboration with the UNO College of Business Administration, providing transformative opportunities for students to learn how tech startups get going, how they craft their strategies and how they eventually get off the ground.
  • Production of Business Model Canvases for startup concepts, showing how an invention is not the same thing as a business and providing enormous room for creative expression in taking a cool idea and turning it into a healthy business.
  • Market and competitive analysis reports completed by undergraduate and graduate students from the University of Nebraska Omaha College of Business.

Omaha Virtual Reality Pipeline: Workforce Development in Emerging Technology

This program is training the next generation of developers in collaboration with UNMC and Metropolitan Community College, backed by a visionary grant from the Economic Development Administration's Build to Scale Venture Challenge.
