Professional Bio
Krase joined the MMI Speech Language Pathology Department in 2011. Krase primarily provides clinical care in the inpatient acute care setting through UNMC’s clinical partner, Nebraska Medicine. She collaborated for 3 years with laryngolists in the UNMC/Nebraska Medicine Otolaryngology clinic, where she supported patients with voice, swallowing, and airway disorders. Throughout her time at MMI, Krase has taken on leadership roles within the department including Clinical Training Coordinator, Hospital Supervisor, and Interim Associate Director before assuming the role full-time in 2021.
Krase is committed to the growth and development of the next generation of Speech Language Pathologists. She has played an active role in community outreach programs, such as MMI’s Career Exploration and the UNMC High School Alliance, aiming to inspire local students to pursue careers in healthcare. Krase has supervised dozens of graduate practicum students and served as the department’s acute care clinical fellowship mentor for six years.
