Professional Bio

Hughes joined MMI in 2006. Prior to joining the MMI team, Hughes worked for the Omaha Public Schools for three years as a speech language pathologist and three years as a kindergarten teacher. Clinically, she provides individual and group therapy services in the RiteCare Clinic focused on parent training and augmentative and alternative communication evaluations and implementation. Hughes provides contract services for the Omaha public schools focused on assistive technology evaluations and services across the district. She also serves as the speech language pathologist at Dr. JP Lord school. Hughes is involved in clinical research, which focuses on augmentative and alternative communication.
