Professional Bio

Garcia joined MMI after graduating from The Ohio State University in 2021. Her clinical interests include acquired brain injury, disorders of consciousness, tracheostomy/ventilator dependent patients, lung transplant patients, and complex dysphagia management. Garcia’s time at UNMC has been highlighted by the collaborative development of the Multidisciplinary Tracheostomy Management team alongside colleagues from various professions. She has explored various clinical growth opportunities and is trained in administration of the JFK Coma Recovery Scale-Revised exam, Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaulation of Swallowing exams, MBSImP certified, and is a certified brain injury specialist.
