Professional Bio
Gay joined MMI in April of 2021 after previous clinical experiences working in central Nebraska with both adult and pediatric populations in a variety of clinical settings. Her clinical interests include acquired neurogenic disorders, neonatal and pediatric feeding and swallowing disorders, adult dysphagia, and the management of tracheostomized patients. Gay's time at UNMC has been highlighted by the collaborative development of the Multidisciplinary Tracheostomy Management Team alongside colleagues from various professions. She has participated in several clinical growth opportunities and is trained in administration of the JFK Coma Recovery Scale-Revised exam, Fiberoptioc Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing exams, and is MBSImP certified. Gay has been the lead hospital SLP since 2024.
