Professional Bio
Prior to joining the MMI team, Kayl has provided speech and language services across the lifespan from birth to geriatrics including adult dysphagia with her most recent focus on functional communication for adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. She has worked within a variety of settings from birth to three home-based, early childhood preschools, skilled nursing facilities, home health, and a state school.
Kayl has been with Munroe-Meyer Institute since December 2023. Her clinical interests include providing functional communication services to adults with IDD, individual to group services through the RiteCare Clinic, individual services for speech-language with use of AAC strategies, fluency, and speech sound disorders including childhood apraxia of speech. She is also involved in a grant-funded initiative with focus on integrated employment for youth and adults with IDD.
Kayl provides patient care services at the UNMC Munroe-Meyer Institute Department of Speech-Language Pathology.
