Professional Bio

Schlautman joined the RiteCare Clinic in Lincoln | MMI in 2017 after serving toddlers and preschoolers as an early childhood speech-language pathologist in the Lincoln Public Schools. Schlautman's work focuses on individual and group clinical services including a Total Communication Augmentative and Alternative Communication Preschool for children with communication and social needs and the Hanen It Takes Two to Talk parent-training program. She is passionate about facilitating opportunities to children practice communication skills in the community and incorporate social interactions whenever possible. Schlautman has been a member of the Childhood Apraxia of Speech collaborative team across Nebraska RiteCare Clinics since 2021.

Schlautman's special interests of severe speech sound disorders and early intervention have created opportunities for presentations in graduate level courses, at the RiteCare National Conference, as well as education and resources for clinics and educators across Nebraska.
