Professional Bio

Sharp joined the inpatient Speech Language Pathology team as part of Munroe Meyer Institute in 2019 following her previous years of experience that began in 2012. She has had the opportunity to work in multiple settings including skilled nursing facilities, rural hospital locations, outpatient, and home health across multiple states. Clinically, Sharp has always been interested in individuals who have experienced a stroke and suffered swallowing difficulties; however, her interest has expanded significantly to working with patients who have traumatic brain injuries, ataxia, and establishing augmentative and alternative communication for those who are unable to verbally communicate. She has enjoyed interdisciplinary collaboration within the acute care hospital setting and has presented work to both Nebraska Medicine staff and area high school students focused on a medical pathway.
