Professional Bio

Smith joined MMI in 2023 after working with adults in Skilled Nursing Facilities, Assisted and Independent Living Facilities, home care and teletherapy services in South Carolina, Georgia and Tennessee. She started her career in Speech Pathology in 2015. Her current clinical interests include working with adults with neurogenic disorders including acquired injuries and progressive diseases, providing services targeting improved cognition, communication, voicing, speech disorders and swallowing difficulties. She also completes Modified Barium Swallow Studies, is the lead Speech Therapist in the Parkinson’s Clinic and works closely with the Physical and Occupational Therapists in the Concussion Clinic at Nebraska Medicine.
