Carli Culjat, PhD, MBA, APRN, FNP-BC, PMHNP-BC, is an Associate Professor in the Emergency Nurse Practitioner (ENP) program at the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Nursing, Scottsbluff, and a practicing Nurse Practitioner in the Emergency Department at Nebraska Methodist Hospital. She focuses on preparing ENPs through evidence-based, clinically grounded education that emphasizes diagnostic reasoning, high-acuity care, and practice readiness across diverse and rural settings.

Her work integrates emergency practice with teaching and research, with interests in health literacy, culturally responsive communication, and improving outcomes in underserved populations. As a dual-boarded Family and Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, she brings a comprehensive, systems-level perspective to emergency care and education.
