Courtney Loecker is an Assistant Professor and a Board-Certified Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. She received her BSN with high distinction in 1999 from UNMC CON-Lincoln. She received her MSN at UNMC CON in 2014, inducted into Sigma Theta Tau and awarded the Charlotte Burgess Award for Outstanding Master’s Graduate. Dr. Loecker graduated with her PhD from UUNMC in 2024. Dr. Loecker has more than 20 years of nursing clinical practice experience in a variety of settings, particularly in the areas of infectious disease and transition care management. She joined the UNMC CON faculty in July 2019. Research interests include medical frailty, patient self-management of chronic conditions, and transition care.
