Kassidy Horst, DNP, APRN, WHNP-BC, FNP-C is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Northern Division of the College of Nursing. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Augustana University in South Dakota and went on to complete both her Master of Science in Nursing Practice and Doctor of Nursing Practice at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. She is dual certified in Women’s Health and Family Practice, Dr. Horst is passionate about health promotion, birth control counseling, and sexual health care, as well as providing prenatal care to adolescents and young women. Her work has a special focus on improving access to comprehensive care, including STI education and services, in rural communities.
