Linda Herrick, PhD, RN, FAAN

Clinical Professor, UNMC College of Nursing

Dr. Linda Herrick has been teaching at the UNMC College of Nursing (Omaha) since May 2017. Her practice has been in administration in the areas of gastroenterology medical and surgical practice and research at the Mayo Clinic. She has taught in bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral programs in several states and has served as an associate dean. Dr. Herrick’s research has focused on patients with functional bowel diseases including epidemiological and economic research. Dr. Herrick is active in nursing organizations including Sigma Theta Tau International, the American Academy of Nursing, the American Nurses’ Association, and the Midwest Nursing Research Society for which she has served as president.

Her teaching interests have been in leadership, outcomes, and research. She has had experience with on-line teaching for nearly 20 years. Dr. Herrick served as a peer reviewer for on-line classes national for several years.
