Lisa Firestine, MSN, RN, CNE is an experienced nurse educator and practitioner with 35 years of experience in clinical practice and nursing education. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Michigan and a Master of Science in Nursing from Indiana University. Her clinical background includes medical-surgical units, emergency room, intensive care unit, outpatient surgery, nursing home, and home health. In addition to bedside nursing, she has taught at the university level, both in the traditional classroom and online. As a dedicated educator, Lisa is passionate about preparing the next generation of nurses to meet the evolving challenges of healthcare.
At the heart of Lisa's teaching is a commitment to fostering a student-centered learning environment that promotes critical thinking, clinical competence, and professional growth. She believes in integrating active learning strategies, evidence-based practice, and technology-enhanced learning to create engaging and meaningful educational experiences.
