Lynn Borstelmann, DNP, RN-BC, NEA-BC
Lynn Borstelmann is an Assistant Professor in the College of Nursing at Omaha and is teaching health informatics. She is dually employed at Nebraska Medicine where she has been employed since 2004 in clinical and information technology/informatics leadership roles. She graduated with her DNP from the University of Minnesota in 2016 and has a master’s degree in oncology nursing from the University of Washington. She holds certifications from ANCC as an advanced nurse executive and as a nurse informaticist. Ms. Borstelmann is passionate about applying informatics and leveraging technology to transform clinical effectiveness and efficiency, care quality and safety, as well as the patient and clinician experience. She thinks it is critically important that nurses become knowledgeable and adept at utilizing informatics and information technology in their practice at all levels, and enjoys engaging students in developing a deeper understanding of these concepts.
