Dr. Kliment is an assistant professor at the College of Nursing. Dr. Kliment received her diploma in nursing from Bryan College of Health Sciences, Lincoln, NE and completed her BSN at Nebraska Wesleyan, Lincoln, NE. She was awarded her MSN (2010) from Creighton University, Omaha, NE and her DNP (2016) from Creighton University, Omaha, NE. She began her nursing career working on a cardiac progressive care unit and then transitioned as an RN in a family practice clinic setting as she completed her graduate studies. As a Nurse Practitioner, Dr. Kliment, has worked in outpatient, family practice clinic settings for the past 9 years. Her DNP project "Improving the Utilization of a Diabetic Health Maintenance Flow Chart for Type 2 Diabetes Care in an Outpatient Family Practice Clinic" focused on improving the documentation of quality measures in diabetic patients. Awarded the Constance Smith-Peterson Award in 2010 from Creighton University for the advancement of nursing theory and practice. October 2015, attended interprofessional educational experience in China along with Creighton students and faculty from nursing, pharmacy, physical therapy, occupational therapy programs. Currently serves as the Nebraska State Representative for the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
