Nicole Kouma graduated from the University of Nebraska-Omaha in 2015 with her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. In 2017, she graduated from the University of Nebraska Medical Center with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and then again in 2021 with her Master of Science in Nursing including the specialty track of Nurse Leader/Executive. Ms. Kouma has worked for 5 years as a Registered Nurse at Nebraska Medicine on the oncology units, starting in medical-surgical oncology and currently working in intensive care. In the spring of 2021, Ms. Kouma worked as a graduate assistant at UNMC College of Nursing and realized she had a passion for educating and leading the next generation of nurses. She officially accepted a full-time position as a clinical instructor and is also helping to coordinate an undergraduate asynchronous course specializing in hematology and oncology.
