Rebecca Swanson, DNP, APRN, PNP-AC/PC
Rebecca Swanson is the Coordinator for the Pediatric Nurse Practitioner program. Dr. Swanson is a proud UNMC alum, completing her BSN in 2007, MSN in Pediatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner in 2011, and finally her DNP in 2018. She also completed her post-graduate certificate for Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner in 2018 through Creighton University.
Dr. Swanson works as a CPNP in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology & Stem Cell Transplant at Nebraska Medicine where she is passionate about implementing evidence-based practice and mentoring nursing staff and students. Clinical projects have focused on creating a pediatric survivorship clinic, reducing sedation for children undergoing radiation therapy & MRI, transitioning pediatric chemotherapy regimens to the ambulatory care setting, and co-developing an EBP curriculum for Nebraska Medicine staff nurses.
