College of Nursing Mobile Clinic
The UNMC College of Nursing obtained this mobile clinic in 2011, and for over a decade it has been delivering primary care and education to Nebraska’s underserved and rural communities. This mobile clinic is a proven solution for healthcare outreach to these areas all throughout the state.
This unit has a history of serving Nebraska communities at events such as the Cattlemen’s Ball in Scottsbluff to the One Stop Cancer Shop in Omaha. Designed for rural healthcare access, it’s ideal for screenings, health physicals, vaccinations, or health fairs—bringing care where it’s needed most!
The mobile clinic is able to travel over 800 miles on a full diesel tank (10.4 mpg) and includes a built-in gas generator, 40-gallon water tank, private toilet, and sink. The mobile clinic has two areas for privately seeing patients, telehealth capabilities, and is wheelchair accessible. At 38 feet long and 11 feet 8 inches high, it’s ready for rural or urban deployments with minimal setup!
The College of Nursing is prepared to serve you and your communities utilizing the mobile clinic. Please contact Jordan Pieper, TTP Administrator (jopieper@unmc.edu) for rental details and/or a tour of the mobile unit.
