Denise Arrick
Denise Arrick is an Assistant Professor in the College of Allied Health Professions with a focus on anatomy education (gross anatomy, histology and embryology). She earned a bachelor’s degree from University of Nebraska Omaha and a master’s degree in the Department of Cellular Biology and Anatomy at the Louisiana University State Health. She also completed the Certificate of Higher Education Program through the Harvard Derek Bok Center for Teaching and Learning, further strengthening my commitment to evidence-based instruction and student-centered learning in health professions.

In addition to teaching, she has led and participated in research that has examined the role of the endothelium in the control of cerebral microcirculation.

Scholarly activity has focused on anatomical variations, cadaveric clinical case analyses, and the integration of educational technology. I have peer reviewed research manuscripts and edited book chapters.

Other research interests include examining changes in cerebral blood vessels during a variety of disease states with the belief that the studies provide insight into the pathogenesis of stroke disease states.
