Lots to do
Sure, a visit to Omaha might start with a trip to the country's top zoo, according to TripAdvisor.com, but the Henry Doorly Zoo & Aquarium isn't where Omaha attractions end. It's just the beginning.

Middle America, not middle-of-the-road
Omaha is home to a world-class zoo, the nation’s top-ranked playhouse and some of the best restaurants in the country. Pick a sport, any sport, and you’ll probably find it being played at a high level somewhere around Omaha. Of course, it doesn't hurt that Omaha is the home of the College World Series, U.S. Olympic Team Swim Trials and The International horse jumping competitions. Discover why Middle America is anything but middle-of-the-road.
Money named Omaha the Best Big City in the Midwest, and Smart Asset ranked the area as the number one city in America for technology workers. Add in a cost of living that allows coastal natives to trade in studio apartments for something requiring a riding lawn mower, and you begin to understand why so many talented people – and not just at UNMC – proudly call Omaha home.
