Knobbe is an instructor in the College of Allied Health Professions at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. She currently serves as clinical coordinator for the Radiography program's Columbus, Norfolk, and Omaha campus locations.

She received her Associate of Science degree in Radiologic Technology and Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Imaging from Clarkson College in Omaha, Nebraska.
