After earning a master’s degree in occupational therapy from Colorado State University in 2003, Martino practiced in a variety of rehabilitation settings with adults and older adults. After working in the clinic for a number of years, she pursued a PhD in translational health sciences from George Washington University. Combining OT experience with newfound knowledge as a translational health researcher, she is able to recognize the complexities of health, conduct rigorous research, and facilitate innovation on multiple levels while recognizing the value of collaboration and teams.
