HLC Approves Joint Accreditation for UNL and UNMC
In November of 2025, the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) confirmed that the University of Nebraska’s application for joint accreditation of UNL and UNMC met all requirements and was approved by the HLC Board.
UNMC Alumni Association Recognizes 2025 Award Recipients
This fall, the UNMC Alumni Association welcomed alumni and friends back to campus for a series of reunion events celebrating connection, achievement and service. During these gatherings, the association proudly recognized the 2025 alumni award recipients for their outstanding contributions.
UNMC Enrollment Rises for 25th Straight Year
UNMC’s fall enrollment climbed for the 25th consecutive year – totaling 4,818 students, a 2% increase over last year’s total and a testament to UNMC’s continued focus to grow the state’s health workforce. Enrollment increases were seen across six colleges: allied health professions, dentistry, medicine, nursing, pharmacy and public health. In the past five years, UNMC enrollment has grown steadily, from 4,387 in 2021 to the current total, an increase of 431 total students, or nearly 10%.
