Pandemics

Pandemic hazard

The World Health Organization defines a pandemic as "the worldwide spread of a new disease." Preventive measures generally include staying home when you are sick, covering your coughs and sneezes, and regularly washing your hands with soap and water.

Organizations and community leaders may also choose to promote social distancing strategies, such as work-from-home options, remote meetings and other strategies designed to avoid large gatherings.
