Make plans before an emergency happens

Did you know that Nebraska is one of the top 10 states to experience flood-related disaster declarations over the past decade? 

Emergencies can occur anywhere at any time, and it is important to know emergency procedures before an emergency occurs. The resources and information listed are intended to act as a guide to help you develop your personal plan:

  1. Choose an out of area contact person as your emergency point of contact
  2. Know and practice shelter-in-place locations and evacuation routes in your home, classroom building(s), and/or office. For more information about evacuation routes in your campus building, contact Environmental Health and Safety.
  3. Visit ready.gov/disability for information about plans for functional and access needs.
