Professional Bio
Webber obtained her bachelor's degree in molecular genetics at The Ohio State University. As an undergraduate student, she worked as a research assistant in the field of cancer genetics, which is where she discovered her passion for genetic counseling. She blended her love for science and writing together by minoring in Professional Writing, giving her experience crafting scientific research articles for a lay audience. Webber also cultivated her longstanding interest in working with special needs children, leading her to spend her summers as a volunteer with Special Olympics and a camp counselor.
After earning her master’s degree in genetic counseling at Ohio State in 2025, Webber moved across the Midwest to join the genetic counseling team at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. She is currently a pediatric genetic counselor serving patients at Children’s Nebraska. Outside of patient care, Webber is passionate about science writing and communication.
Webber provides patient care services through the UNMC Munroe-Meyer Institute Department of Genetic Medicine.
