Professional Bio

Prior to joining the MMI team, Barton worked in the Kansas City, Missouri, and Seattle, Washington areas. While in Kansas City, she worked at an integrated autism center collaborating with behavior analysts and occuptional therapists to provide speech and language therapy to children aged 18 months to 9 years. During Barton’s time in the Seattle area, she helped to develop an intensive autism day treatment program with a team of colleagues to serve children aged 2 to 6 years.

Currently, Barton provides integrated speech and language therapy services for autistic children in applied behavior analysis programs. She participates as part of a multi-disciplinary team in the Autism Diagnostic Clinic. Barton provides individualized speech-language therapy services both in-person and via telehealth including parent training utilizing the Project ImPACT curriculum.
