UNMC study gauges health disparities in the pandemic

A UNMC national study designed to gauge the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on health disparities in the United States has resulted in at least 10 peer-reviewed publications since its initiation in 2020, with more in the review process.

My Sister’s Keeper 2024 Celebration of Life Luncheon

Dr. Keyonna King was the keynote speaker at My Sister’s Keeper 2024 Celebration of Life Luncheon, which is a celebration of life, legacy, and African heritage for people and families dealing with breast cancer. Dr. King’s presentation focused on sharing about her new role at the Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center as the Assistant Director of Research Integration.

Community Health Partnership Award

Dr. Keyonna King accepted the Community Health Partnership Award on behalf of the Center for Reducing Health Disparities at N.O.A.H. Clinic’s 2024 Champion of Change Luncheon. She also received an award for her public health work in partnership with the North Omaha community.
