The online Master of Respiratory Care Degree Advancement Option allows working Registered Respiratory Therapists who have completed a CoARC-accredited respiratory care program, the opportunity to advance their education and professional goals while working in their home communities.

Personal Plan of Study

Qualified candidates work with the program director to develop a plan of study that includes coursework and a capstone project designed to match the student's clinical and educational background with their professional goals.

Completely Online

This program is available through distance education technology and may be completed on a part-time basis by qualified respiratory care professionals. We use a variety of distance learning technologies (mostly synchronous and asynchronous online activities, independent reading, and projects).

Robust Curriculum

You will draft papers, complete projects, conduct research, communicate with professors and students online, work independently on assignments and with coworkers on group projects, do case presentations, take quizzes and exams, etc.

Program Highlights

Accreditation & Licensure

The Master of Respiratory Care Degree Advancement Option, ID#520032, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska, holds Provisional Accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care.

This status signifies that a program with an Approval of Intent has demonstrated sufficient compliance with the Standards (through submission of an acceptable Provisional Accreditation Self-Study Report and any other documentation required by the CoARC, as well as satisfactory completion of an initial on-site visit.
