2023 Diabetes Update

The 2023 Diabetes Update symposium will provide an update on diabetes management emphasizing glucose management and chronic kidney disease. Other topics will include medication updates, inpatient diabetes guidelines, cultural nutrition for diabetes patients, and a technology discussion on using continuous glucose monitors (CGM). 

Symposium Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, the participants should be better able to:

  1. Integrate medical management strategies for patients with chronic kidney disease and diabetes.
  2. List new medications available for the treatment of diabetes.
  3. Recognize cultural diet guidelines in medical nutrition management interventions for patients with diabetes.
  4. Describe the steps required for initiating CGM therapy.  
  5. Discuss the new guidelines for the management of patients with diabetes.

Registration Fees

  • $135 – Physicians
  • $110 – General Registration
  • $90 – UNMC/Nebraska Medicine Employees
  • $35 – Students/Residents/Fellows

 

The deadline to register is Oct. 6.  

Once online registration is closed, you will only be able to register on-site for the walk-in fee of $200. Walk-in registrations will only be accepted if space is available; meals are not guaranteed.

Cancel/Refund Policy

If you need to cancel your registration, please email conted@unmc.edu no later than Oct. 6, 2023. There is a $30 processing fee for cancellations made by Oct. 6. Cancellations made after this date and registrants who fail to attend are responsible for the full registration fee.
